CyberConnect2 has releasedNaruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections update 1.30 (PS5 update version 1.003), which appears to bring some minor adjustments as well as adding support for upcoming DLC. Read on for the official patch notes.

Additional information regarding the in-game event “Shinobi Front”
The 2nd Shinobi Battle will be held from May 30th (Thurs) to June 4th (Tues).
- Items that can be exchanged with “Exchange Tickets” obtained on the Shinobi Front have been added to the collection.
- The “Shinobi Front Bonus”, which could previously only be confirmed from the battle result screen, can now also be confirmed from the battle status confirmation screen.
Fixed a bug related to the in-game event “Shinobi Sensen”
- Fixed an issue where the message “Communicating” would be displayed after the end of a “Target Match” or “Ranked Match” during Shinobi Front, making it impossible to proceed.
- Fixed an issue where the appearance titles “Participation Award/Fighting Award/Special Achievement Award/Excellent Award/Honor Award” were not being properly awarded according to the faction.
Customers who participated in the 1st Shinobi Front as the “Chidori” faction were given the “Rasengan” faction title, but after applying this patch, the title will be the “Chidori” faction title.
Information about the Shinobi Wars will be announced on the game’s official website and Official X from time to time, so please check those as well.
*Items that can be exchanged with the exchange ticket can also be exchanged for “both” items, and can be obtained even after the Shinobi War period ends.
Bug fixes for battles
- Fixed a bug where it was sometimes impossible to guard when landing after an air guard depending on the frame rate. The
behavior at 60 FPS has been corrected to match the 30 FPS environment.
Battle Balance Adjustments
Taking into consideration the overall balance, adjustments have been made to the following characters.
- – The final hit of Sakura Haruno’s air combo has been changed to a rolling knockback,making it easier to follow up with a chakra dash.
- Increased Tenten’s defensive power.
- Increased the defensive power of sea dolphins .
・First Hokage, Hashirama Senju (Edo Tensei)
Ninjutsu 1 “Mokuton: Wood Dragon Technique” has been changed to a rolling knockback, and the latter half of the move can now be canceled with a dash.
This allows for follow-up attacks after the ninjutsu hits.
– Jiraiya
Ninjutsu 1 “Rasengan” reduced the amount of chakra consumed when activated and increased the recovery speed when activated as a support.
– Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen’s
defensive power has been increased.
・Sasuke Uchiha (“Hawk”):
The final hit of the air combo has been changed to a rolling knockback with no reckoning. This allows him to follow up with a chakra dash.
Damage has been reduced instead.
The chakra consumption when using Hozuki Suigetsu Ninjutsu 1 “Suiton: Water Wave Slash” has been reduced, and the recovery speed has been increased when using it as a support. The final hit of the air combo has been changed to a rolling knockback. This allows for a follow-up attack with a chakra dash.
Damage has been reduced in exchange.
– Increased the degree to which the main body turns when using Jirobou Ninjutsu 1, “Hatenara.”
Kazekage Gaara (Ninja World Wars)
Reduced damage from ground combos.
Reduced damage from air combos.
Kazekage Gaara (Five Kage Summit)

・Killer Bee (Shark Skin)
Ninjutsu 1 “Thunderbolt” can now be canceled. Instead, the damage has been reduced and the chakra consumption when activated has been increased.
Ninjutsu 2 “Tailed Beast Ball” has been adjusted so that when activated in the air, it will be fired after retreating.
– Increased the priority of Uchiha Madara (Six Paths) Ninjutsu 1 “Shundou.”
*Priority is an indicator that determines which attack will win when two attacks collide.
– Uchiha Madara (Edo Tensei Kai):
Made the start-up of the throw faster.
– The duration of the attack hitbox for Otsutsuki Hagoromo’s Ninjutsu 1, “Tenrai,” has been shortened, and the recovery speed when activated as a support has been slowed down.
– Uchiha Sasuke (Youth Edition, Late Clothes)
Ninjutsu 1 “Chidori” has been adjusted to be unblockable.

CyberConnect2 has yet to rele
ase the full patch notes for today’s Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections update. However, we know from their roadmap update that was published earlier this month, update 1.30 contains some adjustments with more updates planned.
“Ver. 1.30 contains the adjustments that were made before the survey, and it is intended to improve the usability of some characters.
※ Adjustments based on the feedback of the survey are scheduled to be delivered in Ver. 1.40.
For example, “Sasuke Uchiha (the Taka)” was unable to pursue with Chakra Dash after an aerial combo, but this has been adjusted in Ver. 1.30 so that he can pursue with Chakra Dash.”
This update also adds support for some upcoming DLC, including a new fighter, Kurenai Yuhi, who will be available this Thursday, May 30. Some users on Reddit have also noticed some new premium outfits that should be available the same day Kurenai launches.
Hopefully, the full patch notes will be published soon, as this does seem like a pretty sizable update. We’ll be sure to update the story once they’ve been published.
